Escape Tools provides software that escape-room businesses use to record team results, deliver customer photographs by email and, where the business and its customers have authorised it, publish team photographs to connected social-media accounts.
When a business connects Google, Facebook or Instagram, Escape Tools stores the authorisation tokens needed to perform the requested actions. We do not ask customers for their passwords. Connected-account credentials are encrypted at rest and are used only to provide the configured service.
Google authorisation is used to send email from the Google account selected by the business. Escape Tools requests permission to send mail; it does not need to read the user's inbox for this feature.
Escape Tools' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Team photographs and customer email addresses are controlled by the escape-room business using Escape Tools and are processed to deliver the requested service. The business is responsible for obtaining appropriate consent for public posting. Temporary copies sent through the integration service are retained only for the time needed to deliver the email or social-media post.
Data is sent to Google or Meta only when necessary to perform an action requested through the connected business account. Escape Tools does not sell connected-account data.
Businesses can disconnect connected accounts at any time. Meta deauthorisation and data-deletion requests remove stored Meta connection credentials associated with that user. Customer-result retention is controlled by the relevant escape-room business.
